Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Officer will be responsible for conducting the process of advising prospective students and to ensure that they meet the requirements established by the Institution, in accordance with the different regulatory agencies, and meeting the enrollment projections that have been established.

The Admissions Officer must be proficient and current in the academic programs and services offered. Will perform work of relative complexity requiring the application of knowledge of planning and organizational principles. The position is subject to monitoring and continuous analysis.

Minimum requirements:

  • Associate degree completed in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields is required
  • Bilingual- English and Spanish
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with a committee or a team.
  • Excellence in providing and modeling quality customer service.
  • Ability to meet a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and/or weekends.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Guide and admit students, according to institutional policies and in accordance with established enrollment projections.
  • Shall meet assigned metrics for each enrollment period, including: number of calls, interviews conducted, applications sent, applications received, call quality, enrollment and show rate.
  • Will answer all calls coming in through the switchboard to your extension, as well as it is responsible for answering calls transferred by a pre-qualifier and seeking an orientation. Responsible for answering any communication from the pre-qualification area in the Teams chat created for transfers.
  • You will be proficient in admissions processes and operations and have knowledge of institutional regulations and policies. Will not be able to change processes or alter documents.
  • Guide prospects and students by providing accurate and truthful information related to licensing, accreditation, academic programs, employability rate, services, staff credentials, among others.
  • Will refer the applicant to the corresponding offices for due follow-up in relation to: Admissions Committee, Financial Aid, Collections, Registrar, Academic Advising and/or Program Coordinator, evaluation for course validation or other support service, as required.
  • Will comply with the assigned schedule, must be punctual in his/her work schedule and in the appointments established to attend prospects. Must comply with the established dates and times of visits to our offices in Hato Rey, work Saturdays and overtime as required due to operational needs.
