Job Summary:

As a member of the Company’s business development staff, this individual will develop new relationships within target markets and accounts. Researches markets, technology and Customers to support sales with presentations, strategy, and sales leads. Serves as the customer liaison to the company during the development process. Coordinates pre-production meetings for new projects with operations and secures pricing from VP of Commercial and Business Development. Follows RFQ requests through the quoting process, ensuring the timely delivery of the quote, samples and drawings and ultimately to the successful conclusion with the procurement of a purchase order. Provides status assistance to customers as necessary and to all departments as required. Supports sales on coordinating bids, auctions and proposals. Manages Product lists and R&D projects to ensure our product lines meets industry standards and trends. Builds relationships within target accounts. Develops new relationships at events, via outbound marketing support, LinkedIn prospecting, and other . Work is of a highly detailed nature requiring independent thought and initiative. Work is performed personally. Job entails a minimum of a 40 hour work week.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development

· Responsibility for selling all the products in AeroFlexx’s portfolio.

· Take part in new business and launch planning meetings with operations, including department managers for production planners, purchasing, manufacturing, production, and quality.

· Review RFQ prior to being submitted for costing. Support the timely execution of the RFQ to final quote.

· Work independently or with the sales team to follow-up on quotes and anticipate value creation and value capture opportunities.

· Obtain accurate feedback and determine our ability to appropriately respond to challenges in closing new business.

· Coordinates special samples, drawings or presentations.

· Prepare project timelines and status reports as needed.

· Track R&D progress; oversee timely delivery of samples, drawings and information to sales and the customer. Communicate effectively with the department and customers as necessary to keep project moving toward close.

· Develop project tracking reports for distribution to senior management.

· Manage Pre-production requirements for new business.

· Manage the pricing process to ensure accurate implementation of set-up charges, artwork, molds and packaging.

· Follow-up on sales activity, lagging inactivity, component delivery new RFQ submissions.

· Manage projects for high profile customers and opportunities.

· Assist with preparation of presentations.

· Coordinate customer visits and meetings.

· Additional duties as needed to support sales and new business efforts.

Technical Support

· Request specification and end user requirements and work with the quality department to ensure we can meet the requirements.

· Review documentation for completeness of customer requirements and specifications.

· Acquire and review samples components and submit tooling quotations to sales.

· Communicate effectively with customers as necessary

· Develop project tracking reports for distribution to senior management

· Ensure timely deliveries of samples, information and other requests to customers

· Achieve a positive experience and results for customers

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s Degree in the field of business, science or equivalent industry experience.

· Four years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, preferable in plastics or packaging, at least 2 of which include customer interaction.

· Sufficient technical knowledge to understand the requirements of new business projects, packaging and R&D.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES

· Stays current with new products, specifically with packaging industry and applications. Has in-depth comprehension of company products, strengths, problem solving, capabilities, and general characteristics.

· Has proven characteristics including strong organizational and planning skills.

· Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to manage internal groups to achieve results. Capable of multi-tasking.

· General understanding of R&D, manufacturing and related processes.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
