Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Brake Press Operator who has experience in operating a CNC Brake Press. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our brake press machines to produce high-quality metal components according to specifications.


Schedule

Monday - Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm, with occasional overtime on Fridays.


Essential Functions

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machine settings and product requirements
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation and product quality
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 3+ years set-up and operating a CNC brake press experience. Bonus if you have experience with Amada® or Safan Darley® equipment
  • Solid background working with sheet metal
  • Knowledge of press brake tooling and tool maintenance
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal and metric conversion skills
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
  • Ability to distinguish material types including aluminum, steel and stainless steel
