Job Overview:

We are looking for someone enthusiastic, versatile, has a heart for the Lord, and loves working with children, families, and our staff. Our school is filled with amazing staff and families and we can't wait to add another candidate to our team The Assistant would work mainly in the Front Preschool Office. You will provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of our office and the entire Infant/Preschool campus. This position has the possibility for growth into the Assistant Director Position. Please read below and apply if you feel you are the right fit.

A faithful Infant/Preschool Administrative Assistant/Teacher:

  • Ensures the health and safety of all children and staff members while on the school campus
  • Kindly welcomes and assists students, parents and visitors in a professional, Christ like and friendly manner
  • Answers and directs phone calls, taking messages as needed
  • Performs administrative duties including copying, scanning and mailing
  • Oversees taking inventory for supplies for office and classrooms
  • Provides administrative support to different departments (classrooms) when needed
  • Open or Close and assist the Director as designated person in charge when the Director is absent from the facility
  • Supervise children who are ill or waiting in the office for parent pick-up
  • Administer first aid to children when necessary
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Works closely with Director assisting with student's files (are confidential but are open to the inspection of the Department of Social Services), tours, special events, preparing enrollment packets, scheduling and confirming tours with prospective families, maintaining Google Docs for tours, school and camp registration, learning ProCare, FunRaisers,
  • Assists, plans, and participates in special events such as Back-to-School Nite, Open House, Christmas Program, Vacation Bible School, and weekly chapels
  • Ensures that all office procedures, including registration and student files, are compliant with Title 22 at all times
  • Assists teachers in supervising children using bathrooms, assist during naps and in the play yards outside or inside the classroom to meet ratio requirements
  • Ability to substitute for teachers or Director in the event of their absence
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned
  • Posses knowledge of the Infant/Preschool program and curriculum
  • Demonstrates a passion for Christ and His Kingdom through personal spiritual discipline and public ministry
  • Seeks to grow in that relationship with Christ through personal spiritual discipline, education, accountability, and service to His Kingdom
  • Believes that the Bible is God's Holy and Inherent Word and standard for daily living
  • Be a mature Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions
  • Able to lift at least 50lbs and sit, stoop, bend, lift, reach, stand, and walk for sustained time periods
  • Abide by code of confidentiality in all matters involving the children and families enrolled in the schools
  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings and training sessions, including completing (12) hours of professional growth a year
Qualifications:

  • Must have 12 ECE units (courses approved by Title 22 regulations) and an additional (3) IT units and (6) Administrative Units
  • Minimum (6) months teaching and administrative experience in a licensed childcare facility
  • Proficient in word and excel
  • Proven office management, administrative, or assistant experience
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with children, parents, staff, and administration
  • Strong Computer skills: Google Docs, Word, Excel, ProCare, Publisher, Facebook, Instagram, and/or other necessary programs
  • Able to speak, read and write English
  • CPR and First Aid certified (taken every 2 years with staff)
  • Physical and TB Test (clearance)
  • Proof of DTaP, MMR Immunizations - Influenza ( or can be waived)
  • Valid Mandated Training Certificate (for Childcare providers) and Pesticide Training Certification (Best Pest Management Practices Around Children)
  • Submit to Live Scan and receive criminal clearance from the Department of Justice FBI and attached to Guardian
  • Versed in Title 22
  • (3) letters of reference
Hours: Full-Time 40hrs per week
