Job Summary

The Manager of Integrated Healthcare is responsible for the supervision, direction, and coordination of the OCHN Integrated Healthcare Team which is carries out OCHN’s strategic vision for the coordination and integration of behavioral and physical healthcare services. While complying with State, Federal, and accreditation requirements, the Manager of Integrated Healthcare guides the team to implement and oversee OCHN’s integrated healthcare initiatives and programs. This includes leading the team’s continuous quality improvement activities to improve care and outcomes for individuals receiving services in the OCHN system.

Essential Functions

  • Manages OCHN Integrated Healthcare Team and leads integrated healthcare initiatives
  • Leverages clinical knowledge and knowledge of business rules, regulatory guidelines, policies, procedures, and program requirements to ensure compliance and lead continuous quality improvement
  • Organizes and analyzes data derived from outcome and process measures; provides recommendations for and oversees implementation of performance improvement projects
  • Develops policies, procedures, and protocols to support compliance with program requirements, and State and Federal regulatory guidelines
  • Collaborates and maintains positive, effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Conducts/supervises clinical case reviews as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

  • Master's degree in mental health field or bachelor’s degree in nursing

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):

  • State of Michigan license, certification and / or registration as, Psychologist (LLP, LP), Social Worker (LMSW), Counselor (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Registered Nurse (RN).
  • For children’s services - maintain/attain 24 hours annually of child-specific training (Child Diagnostic and Treatment Professional)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience providing services to persons with Mental Illness, Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities, Substance Use Disorder and/or Serious Emotional Disturbance.
  • Preference for experience in the OCHN network.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Knowledge of approaches for the integration and coordination of behavioral and physical healthcare
  • Understanding of OCHN integrated healthcare initiatives, and programs
  • Knowledge of the Michigan Mental Health Code
  • Understanding of Medicaid rules and regulations.
  • Understanding of utilization management
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the OCHN Utilization Management Manual and Protocols
  • Preferred: Knowledge of NCQA accreditation standards for a Managed Behavioral Health Organization

Other Information

Special Information (Travel required, physical requirements, on-call schedules, and so on):

  • Must have available means of transportation to and from OCHN and for required off site meetings or site visits.
  • Must be available for Board meetings and other required events which may occur outside of standard office hours.
  • Work performed primarily in an office environment.
