Overview

The Healthcare Center Liaison plays a crucial role in managing clerical tasks, front desk operations, billing processes, patient referrals, and customer relations within a medical facility. This position involves handling a significant volume of sensitive medical, financial, and personal data daily. The Liaison is tasked with scheduling appointments, managing incoming communications, overseeing patient registration, and executing billing and collection responsibilities, along with other assigned duties.

Responsibilities and Scope

The Healthcare Center Liaison is accountable for the seamless execution of clerical functions within the center. This role requires the efficient processing of patient arrivals and departures, managing 20 or more patients daily. The Liaison operates under the direct oversight of the Practice Manager.

Required Qualifications

1. High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
2. A minimum of two to three years of experience in an outpatient healthcare environment is preferred.
3. Candidates must possess a solid understanding of medical terminology and a comprehensive knowledge of HIPAA regulations, with confidentiality being paramount.
4. Familiarity with Third Party Payers, ICD-10, and CPT Coding is advantageous.
5. Proficiency in computer and typing skills is essential; experience with Electronic Medical Records is beneficial, with EPIC being the preferred system.
6. The ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment is critical.
7. Strong collaborative skills to work effectively across various teams and settings.
