Title: R&D Material Coordinator
Location: Lake Zurich, IL (Onsite Position)
Position Summary:
The R&D Material Coordinator position performs activities in support of material control, handling, purchasing, shipping, and receiving in the R&D department in support of the department objectives to provide goods and services that meet customer’s requirements for quality, quantity, and timeliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible to follow Medical Murray Quality system, including all applicable SOP's included in the Training Matrix
- Prepare materials to support work orders as necessary, maintain inventory controls per procedures
- Process material requirements based on new orders and communicate PO suggestions to appropriate personnel
- Manage excess materials from work centers and restock into inventory as appropriate
- Track and maintain quantities of R&D materials using manual Excel tracking systems.
- Transfer material information into ERP system once Method of Manufacture is created
- Establish warehouse location system for new materials
- Continually review and evaluate ERP data to ensure proper inventory levels
- Complete all transactions in ERP system, or manual Excel tracking system as required
- Assist in material flow for incoming R&D materials and communicate with appropriate staff to remedy issues
- Maintain cleanliness and accuracy of R&D material storage, controlled stock room, shipping/receiving area
- Perform physical inventories as required
- Work in conjunction with Inventory Clerk for material requests within controlled stock room
- Assists in other work-related areas as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Vocational - High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing logistics role
- Experience with ERP order entry systems is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail
- Experience in ERP systems to create, maintain and use MOM's, preferred
- Experience in a warehouse and material methods for issuance and reconciliation of transactions, both physically and perpetually
- Experience in cycle counting and stockroom activities
- Experience with ERP order entry systems (Epicor, SAP, AS400, etc.)
- Experience with materials stocking, issuance, and reconciliation
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO-13485, ISO-14971, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 cGMP standards
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work performed
- Good work ethic, reliable and punctual
- Ability to work on a variety of tasks on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis
