About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Manager to lead our Cloud Services team in delivering cutting-edge solutions for our industrial software products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team of developers to design, develop, and deploy cloud-based solutions using modern programming languages and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of developers to deliver high-quality cloud-based solutions
  • Coordinate with Product Owners, Managers, and team members to plan and deliver projects against a roadmap
  • Implement best-practice tools and processes to ensure efficient and effective project delivery
  • Contribute to technical direction and decision-making as a technical lead
  • Perform Scrum Master duties as needed, ensuring Scrum practices are followed and generating Scrum metrics and reporting
  • Drive collaborative planning, manage shifts in priorities, and prioritize work based on team capacity and capability
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior staff and peer group
  • Guide small teams to maintain and enhance cloud products

Ideal Experience

  • Proven experience leading technical teams, including people management and developing cloud-based solutions
  • Highly motivated individual with the ability to self-manage and collaborate with others to drive results
  • Solid experience using agile project management methods and tools, balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity
  • Demonstrable software development and design experience using modern programming languages and tools, including C#
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a high attention to detail
  • Maintains and develops relevant industry knowledge
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server, Azure SQL, and related tools (SQL Server Management Studio)
  • Knowledge of API, REST, microservices, serverless architecture, and container-based solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
