Job Description

The role of Part-time Accounts Payable (AP) Agent will assist the Accounting Department in accounts payable operations to ensure delivery of quality accounting services in accordance with the department’s and Expeditors requirements.

On-site position of 20 hours a week, flexible within the hours and days of Mon-Fri 8am-5pm 

Major Responsibilities

  • • Enter vender invoices into A/P system
  • • Review vendor statements and action aging/outstanding invoices
  • • Reconcile and resolve problem invoices
  • • Build key relationships with vendors in order to quickly resolve invoice issues
  • • Work with other departments on invoice questions and disputes with vendors
  • •  Learn company systems to look up information on shipments and invoices
  • • Support Accounting Department with miscellaneous projects and assignments
  • • Ensure communication with local branches
  • • Manage accounting department email inbox

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • MS Office knowledge, including Excel, Skype for Business, and Outlook skills
  • Advanced organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred but not required: 

  • • One year of relevant experience in Public Accounting and/or industry
  • • Excellent organization skills and detailed-oriented
  • • Motivated self-starter and work with urgency
