Primary Function:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Technology, the Cybersecurity Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive cybersecurity policies and procedures. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in modernizing our security posture and achieving compliance with various security frameworks, including NIST and HITRUST.

Responsibilities:

Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce robust cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all policies are up-to-date and aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Security Framework Compliance:

  • Lead efforts to achieve and maintain compliance with NIST, HITRUST, and other relevant security frameworks.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and address any gaps.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess cybersecurity risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments regularly.

Incident Response:

  • Develop and maintain an incident response plan.
  • Lead the incident response team during security breaches or incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Security Awareness and Training:

  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity training programs to educate employees on best practices and security policies.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.

Technology and Tools:

  • Evaluate and implement cybersecurity tools and technologies to enhance security posture.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure cybersecurity policies are integrated into all business processes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior security staff and other team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and HITRUST.
  • Experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Proven experience in incident response and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
