Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLEASING AGENTThis position is responsible for maintaining property rentals by advertising and filling vacancies; negotiating and      enforcing leases; maintaining and securing premises. This position is classified as Safety Sensitive under Ross Group/Carpathia Managements’ company drug policy.

In this role you will…
  • Attract tenants by advertising vacancies; obtain referrals from current tenants; explain advantages of location and services.
  • Meet potential tenants and guide them on tours of available units.
  • Provide customer service to all current and prospective residents by addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Perform tenant screening and record communication with tenants.
  • Write contracts with tenants by negotiating leases; collecting security deposit, pet policy, etc.
  • Maintain property by investigating and resolving tenant complaints; enforce rules of occupancy and pet policy.
  • Maintain building systems by coordinating maintenance services and repairs.
  • Secure property by establishing and enforcing precautionary policies and procedures; respond to emergencies.
  • Enforce occupancy policies and procedures.
  • Perform tenants move-in and move-out inspection.
  • Bill tenants for damage and repair his/her caused.
  • Create ideas to increase revenue and decrease expenses.
  • Identify opportunities to recruit more tenants.
  • Work with surrounding businesses to add value to our tenants
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

As the ideal candidate you…
  • Have three to five years in a customer facing role or one to two years’ experience as a Leasing Agent.
  • Excellent communication and sales skills.
  • Understand basic real estate terms and leasing practices.
  • Understand social media and traditional media.
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and are able to take emergency calls.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and insurance.

  • Meeting established goals while demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness to ensure quality of work.
  • Business casual dress that is appropriate for office environment, company functions and outside business meetings. Depending on the event, appropriate dress may warrant professional attire.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and other commonly used business-related items.
