JOB DETAILS & DESCRIPTION

As our marketing director, you provide the head and the heart—the right and left brain—to our organization. Internally, you are the engine driving consistency and agile process, messaging guidelines, visual look and feel, and strategies for true emotional connection with the public. Externally, you bring the true joy and hope of Jonathan’s Landing to the public, garnering support, gathering critical feedback, and showing them that there is true hope for adults and families on the horizon.


As a marketer, you are a true lover of language and visual representation. You know how to build a functional brand archetype, and you know how to execute it across multiple channels. You love to create and execute digital marketing strategies, oversee our social media and website, produce content marketing, and support events. Regardless of working in nonprofit before, you are keen to learn the in’s and out’s of development planning, and you can grow to assist in that channel, as well. And most importantly, you have fun bringing value to an organization that treats you as a whole person who deserves a healthy work-life balance.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS :

• Help cultivate a seamless brand expression across all communications channels, continuously updating our brand messaging guidelines and creative, and helping oversee brand updates, as needed.

• Work with leadership to build annual, quarterly, and monthly strategic plans for all marketing channels, including email, organic and paid social, digital and print advertising, public relations, and all partnership planning.

• Identify new local audiences, channels, and strategies to develop a true connection with adults with autism and their families.

• Create quarterly reporting for website activity, content marketing efforts, social media, events, and all channel strategies to help the organization clearly see what is working well and where to pivot.

• Ideate, build, and launch marketing campaigns, fundraising appeals (in coordination with the Development team), press / news releases (in coordination with our PR partner), branded swag, events marketing, and partnership programs.

• Oversee social media accounts maintained by our partner, provide copy and post ideation support, help with community management, and help guide strategy to meet internal and external brand KPIs.

• Create and develop automated email flows and campaigns through Klaviyo, develop a monthly newsletter with dynamic content, and manage delivery metrics to ensure low CAN-SPAM ratings.

• Create in-house templates and materials through Canva, Adobe Suite, or other editing tools to support marketing, development / fundraising, and other teams, as necessary.

• Present new ideas and facilitate open communication and creative feedback between the team to obtain all approvals for creative assets or strategy, as needed.

• Coordinate and oversee vendors and partners for photo / video, design, product design / swag, and more, working with HR / Operations to write and maintain contracts, gather tax paperwork, and work inside budgetary constraints.

• Maintain file and data standards / conventions to ensure our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system is organized and easy to navigate.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years experience in marketing at a management level.

• Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design software.

• Ability to write expert copy and messaging, and to create clear presentations and reports.

• Experience managing contractors or vendors and manage multiple projects concurrently.
