About This Position

HopeHealth is seeking an experienced Clinical Administrative Assistant for it's affiliate HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care in Providence, RI.

The Administrative Assistant provides a positive, warm, calm and competent image and assistance in the coordination and support of patient care delivery. The Administrative Assistant is a liaison between the patient, the care giving staff, other internal and external departments and the billing department, supporting all three with comprehensive chart management and communications between parties to ensure seamless care.

This is a part-time, 24hrs per week, position that is eligible for benefits. The hours are 7:00am-7:30pm



What will you do?

  • Provides information to callers or routes calls to appropriate personnel, takes messages or relates information in a confidential, accurate, timely and professional manner.
  • Orders, cancels and changes DME supplies as required by team staff.
  • Maintains and distributes daily census, maintains patient tracking board, creates charts for incoming patients and interacts with families, vendors, MDs, RNs and entire IDG staff to support patient care.
  • Ensures all appropriate documentation is complete and accurate before scanning into patient chart in the EMR.

What are the qualifications for this job?

  • High school diploma plus additional specialized training
  • Associate's degree or graduate of a secretarial school program preferred
  • Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
