REPORTS TO: Director of Special Projects and Operations

HOURS: Full time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week

PAY RANGE: $27.88-$31.49 hourly

BENEFITS: Medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, long term disability insurance and sick leave are available to employees. Employees accrue 116 hours of vacation during the first year and receive 11 paid holidays. (Prorated for part-time employees).

POSITION TYPE: Non-exempt, management position

This position will coordinate the talent and onboarding process during a time of high growth in LIHI’s Emergency and Enhanced Shelter Program operations. In collaboration with Human Resources, the Hiring Managers, Program Managers, and Senior Management team, the Recruitment and Onboarding Manager will be the point person for hiring events, initial screenings, onboarding and overall candidate experience and success.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all vacant Enhanced Emergency Services and Shelter positions have an active requisition and follow up with Human Resources to close requisitions as needed
  • Research local and virtual opportunities for job advertisement and hiring events to expand our reach to other candidates
  • Screen resumes on a daily basis and conduct phone screenings with qualified applicants
  • Coordinate and assist interviews with applicants and hiring managers; may participate in or lead interview panels
  • Conduct and complete reference checks for applicants
  • Support and monitor the new hire onboarding process to ensure candidate success while building rapport with applicants by ensuring the overall experience is a positive one. Act as a liaison between Human Resources, Shelter Operations Managers, and the applicant to ensure all required onboarding tasks are completed timely.
  • Ensure required documentation is received in accordance with regulatory compliance for Federal I-9 and Everify, and compile new hire paperwork to be submitted to Human Resources.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for applicant questions and concerns.
  • Maintain employee records, updating departmental directories and databases.
  • Develop and conduct new employee orientation and assist with completing multiple required trainings for new employees
  • Assist with miscellaneous tasks, projects, and initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • High attention to detail, ability to coordinate multiple ongoing tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work successfully with a broad variety of individuals
  • Intermediate comfort level with computers and software systems
  • Commitment to equitable and inclusive hiring practices
  • Able to pass criminal background and drug screenings

Preferred qualifications:

  • Full cycle recruitment
  • Project management experience
