American Bank is looking for a Treasury Management Specialist who will be responsible for the delivery of highly personalized client service engagements with the goal of delivering a one-call resolution. This position will serve as the front line for all Treasury Management commercial clients and will assist with complex solutions and ongoing servicing of Treasury Management products and services, complete system setup and maintenance for existing and new treasury management products and services.

Additionally, this position will provide direct internal and external support responding to general and technical inquires via phone or email related to treasury management products and commercial deposit account inquires. The position requires a person who can put themselves in the client’s place and be motivated to achieve results through teamwork and collaboration. Be proactive about their own development and learning with an optimistic growth mindset

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal partners and external clients
  • Works with entire Treasury Management Team to ensure all clients receive prompt and courteous service
  • Works directly with clients on phone, in person, or by e-mail to solve issues with AB commercial products or services and working through to successful outcome
  • Adhere to American Bank policies and procedures, and specifically working to manage risk associated with client transactions and their use of highly technical treasury management products and services
  • Prior to changing, altering or releasing any account information, responsible for authenticating the customer’s identity and their authorization to act on behalf of the account as stated on the account’s signature card contract to ensure all safety protocols are followed
  • Responsible for setting up Treasury Management services in partnership with Treasury Management Onboarding
  • Assist with mapping and testing of Treasury Management products and services (ACH, Positive Pay, Account Reconciliation, FTP formats for ACH, BAI2, ICL, Digital Deposit, automated investment options)
  • Use good time management in order to fulfil CRM requests, and promptly respond to time sensitive email.
  • Will be responsible for providing feedback to Treasury Management Sales & Onboarding, and as necessary, the Relationship Manager, concerning client issues
  • Strong knowledge of the products and services offered by American Bank and is proficient in both commercial and retail products
  • Provides client training for all Treasury Management products and services
  • As a TM Support team member, sends annual self-assessment questionnaire to Digital Deposit clients, and Annual Risk Reviews of Treasury product related exposure
  • Prepares correspondence to clients for postal delivery or Internet delivery, ensuring that secure email is used when necessary
  • Primary client support for all Treasury Management related inquiries and will have knowledge of how the Treasury Management products enhance other products for back-up and referrals to Treasury Management Sales as opportunities are presented
  • Perform Quality Control as requested to ensure new clients are established as agreed, and maintenance of existing clients is performed accurately
  • Maintenance Treasury Management Support internal spreadsheets
  • Process monthly reports as requested, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

Experience Required

  • Previous client contact required
  • Previous banking experience required
  • Previous knowledge of Treasury Management and deposit operations preferred
  • Previous experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system preferred
  • Previous sales experience or training preferred

Qualifications

  • Working experience with computer hardware and software required including word processing (Word preferred), spreadsheet (Excel preferred), and Internet (Microsoft Explorer preferred) and Microsoft Office for e-mail and calendar, and some PowerPoint familiarity
  • Ability to operate telephone (monitor voicemail), copy, fax and other miscellaneous office equipment
  • Ability to work autonomously and with a team
  • Detail and organizational skills experience
  • Ability to compose letters with sound thought, excellent grammar, and proper spelling required
  • Client contact skills experience (internal and external)
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance
  • Dependable transportation for potential travel to client locations

Education

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Two or more years of college preferred
