About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at the Treasury Safekeeping Trust Company. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice and guidance on various matters related to our investment activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and counsel on investment-related matters, including contract review and negotiation, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Review and draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies, to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including investment managers and compliance officers, to ensure effective implementation of legal requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations, and provide guidance on their impact on our investment activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external counsel and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited law school with a LL.B. or J.D. degree.
  • Seven to ten years of experience in corporate, investment, or securities law, with a focus on investment management and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including securities laws, contract law, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
