As a Pricing Analyst II you will evaluate market trends, competitor pricing, and company data to develop effective pricing strategies and product services. Analyze sales data, costs, and profitability to determine optimal price points that balance competitive positioning and profitability.

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay: Based on Experience

What will you be doing?

  • Review pricing for various market accounts and projects; analyze inbound/outbound market Rates Per Mile (RPM), review national bids and spot bids.
  • Maintain pricing within the TMS to ensure customer invoicing is correct as well as identify opportunities for improvement; provide recommendations and contribute to pricing process improvements.
  • Perform quantitative analysis to capture historical and forecasted market knowledge to appropriately evaluate Requests for Proposal (RFPs), taking the lead on more complex requests. Offer continuous improvement of market rates to maximize profitability.
  • Construct optimal rate packages and engineered, cost effective rate solutions for carriers/customers through the utilization of route optimization and other specialized, algorithm-based software applications; prepare comprehensive value-add rate change proposals that effectively account for customer freight and contract characteristics. Ensure alignment of unique requirements while adhering to internal company policies/procedures as well as Department of Transportation (DOT) and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Evaluate the risks in customer accessorial and contract terms to minimize those risks and strengthen profitability.
  • Assist leadership with development, revision and refinement of pricing models and other tools, as well as work process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement; provide recommendations and contribute to pricing process improvements. Continuously improve key metrics within area of responsibility.
  • Effectively interact at all levels of the company including sales, operations, contracts, billing, and senior leadership.
  • Assist in forecasting revenue impacts of price changes.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations to meet company demands and expectations.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent of education and/or experience required.
  • Must have at least two years of experience in pricing and/or operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products – specifically Excel and Outlook Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Ability to analyze spreadsheets and reports.
  • Personal responsibility to manage change.
