Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible Marketing Specialist with an interest and focus on the Commercial industry to join our team. Your main duties include graphic design for web and print, writing content for social marketing and blogs, and contributing to the marketing strategy. 

A successful Marketing Specialist will demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a passion for creating excellent marketing content. Our ideal candidate is constantly seeking new ways to grow as a designer and content creator, and loves working on a team with some really incredible and collaborative people.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in market research to identify customer trends, competitor offerings and demographic data.
  • Discover effective marketing and promotional channels, including media platforms to be used to relay product messages to customers.
  • Investigate the performance of a company’s marketing campaigns and strategies through evaluating key performance metrics.
  • Design, write, and create content for digital and print media that supports the Ursa Space brand and messaging strategy, including but not limited to social media posts, blogs, website, videos, banners/booth displays, and swag.
  • Develop resources and collateral to support Sales, Solutions, and the Executive team in communicating Ursa Space’s mission externally
  • Assist in preparation for conferences and events, working closely with attendees to assess needs, messaging strategy, and follow-up to capture opportunities
  • Maintain an organized repository of content and administrate schedule, correspondence, and tasking as necessary
  • Contribute new ideas and participate in strategic discussions in collaborative team environment
  • Maintain and update the Ursa Space website as needed
  • Attend Trade Shows as needed in support of Commercial Sales Team
  • All other duties as assigned
 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or other relevant field or experience
  • Proficiency in design/video software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud and word processing and spreadsheet programs (Microsoft or Google)
  • Portfolio of design and/or messaging work
  • Attention to detail for precise analysis of data
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and motivation to succeed in a competitive environment
  • Ability to work with teams and collaborate
  • Time management and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
 

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools
  • Proficiency in the fundamentals of geospatial visualization
  • Previous experience using Hubspot or other CRMs
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
 

Compensation

  • This is an hourly position and is eligible for overtime.  The hourly range is $28 - $30 per hour depending on experience. 
 

Location

  • Hybrid or Remote. Required attendance at mandatory Ursa meetings at Headquarters when necessary (typically 2-3 times per year)
