We are seeking a dedicated individual to support the marketing and communication efforts for our Bird Academy online learning platform and related projects. As a Bird Engagement Specialist, you will play a key role in inspiring people of all ages and backgrounds to learn more about birds, biodiversity, and participate in science.
About the Role:
This position is part of the Center for Engagement in Science and Nature at Cornell University. Your mission will be to develop and implement strategies to engage participants and promote our online learning platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of marketing campaigns to promote our online learning platform.
- Collaborate with the team to design and implement surveys to assess participant engagement and satisfaction.
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines to ensure the success of our marketing and communication efforts.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to participants through various channels.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in online marketing and customer service.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in online marketing, customer service, or a related field.
- Knowledge of survey design and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Creative Cloud software.
- Experience in supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in visual marketing and graphic design.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform marketing strategies.
- Proficiency in Freshdesk or similar customer service software.
- Knowledge in building marketing campaigns with Hubspot.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Work Environment:
This position is located at the Lab of Ornithology at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Remote work may be available for some part of the work week. Collaborate with a diverse team and make a difference in the world of conservation and research.
