Abatix is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to be responsible for all warehouse activities including storage and distribution of products. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead all warehouse personnel and will support the overall goals and objectives of the entire company.
Day shift: 7:30am – 4:30pm ; Pay Rate: 60k - 70k
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Foster and lead teamwork and cohesiveness
- Plan and coordinate work, train and motivate, monitor, and evaluate performance of warehouse team; ensure their ability to safely operate material handling equipment
- Oversee inventory management and conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Resolve discrepancies regarding shipments, receipts, and all other transactions
- Evaluate and recommend continuous improvement projects to manager
- Accurately receive and count stock items and record into computer system
- Pick and pack orders
- Safely operate material handling equipment with proper training
- Other duties as necessary
Skills/Qualifications:
- 3+ years warehouse experience
- Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to complete forklift training and maintain certification in compliance with company policy
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal & written English language skills are required
- Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
- Exhibit leadership skills, motivation, dependability, punctuality, and organization skills
- Display high sense of urgency
- General office skills including proficient computer skills
- Ability to compile & decipher information in spreadsheet format
- Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra, geometry, and general business math
- Professional appearance
