Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize safety for yourself and your colleagues in all job functions.
  • Efficiently load and unload materials from various containers, including trucks and pallets, using the appropriate tools.
  • Ensure the quality of materials is monitored during the picking and staging process.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of material movements as per standard operating procedures.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Support machine operators with necessary tasks, including equipment changes.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company regulations.
  • Be prepared to undertake miscellaneous tasks as directed by your supervisor.
Qualifications

Essential Experience & Skills

  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a fast-paced production environment is required.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • At least 2 years of experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Familiarity with shipping and material handling processes.
  • Forklift certification is advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to accurately read measurements using various tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Basic arithmetic skills and proficiency with calculators.
  • Capability to scan and interpret documents related to order staging and truck loading.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Experience with unloading production equipment, especially long materials, is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical demands are typical of a warehouse and production environment.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, lift, and manipulate objects.
  • Occasionally required to perform tasks that involve bending, reaching, and driving equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds routinely.
Work Environment
  • Work is conducted in a standard warehouse and production setting.
  • Exposure to various hazards such as falling objects and machine operations is possible.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts as needed is essential.
