SUMMARY

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, engage audiences, and drive growth. This role involves creating compelling content, managing social media channels, analyzing performance metrics, and staying up to date with industry trends.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Implement Marketing Strategies: Collaborate with the Marketing Director to develop and execute comprehensive social media plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Manage Social Media Presence: Oversee and manage all social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Develop Engaging Content: Create compelling graphic and video content to enhance brand awareness and increase engagement.
  • Monitor and Optimize Performance: Track campaign performance, analyze data, and optimize strategies to maximize ROI. Monitor competitors' social media activities and identify opportunities.
  • Community Engagement: Actively engage with customers and the community through online forums, groups, and events.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistency in brand standards and guidelines across all marketing materials and communications.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track campaign metrics, and prepare regular reports to evaluate effectiveness and inform future strategies.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in marketing, advertising, and social media to drive continuous improvement and innovation.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and advertising platforms.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to think creatively and generate innovative ideas.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in interpreting data and drawing actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools such as Social Champ, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, iMovie, and Capcut.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (or currently in progress) in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field and 3-5 years of proven experience in marketing, advertising, and social media management, preferably within a similar industry. Equivalent industry experience may be substituted for education.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend documents written in English to an above-average competency. Ability to support report generation and general correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to internal or external clients.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure at an Intermediate to Advanced level. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
