As the Director of Finance and Administration at North Avenue Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, GA, you will hold a crucial leadership position reporting directly to the senior pastor. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing various essential functions, including financial management, personnel, stewardship, risk management, and IT operations within the church. You will act as the key liaison to multiple teams, including finance, personnel, stewardship, and endowment and play an important role in supporting the Session of the church (its governing body of Elders). Your expertise and strategic guidance will be instrumental in driving the church's mission forward and ensuring operational excellence.

What matters most

To excel as our Director of Finance and Administration at North Avenue Presbyterian Church, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (master's preferred). The Certified Church Administrator (CCA) designation is highly desirable. Your success in this role will be supported by your demonstrated experience in financial and operational leadership, with a minimum of 5 years in management roles. Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, proficiency in accounting principles, fund accounting, and MS Office software are essential.

Strong communication skills, relationship-building abilities, and a background in non-profit or ministry settings, as well as familiarity with church operations, will be advantageous in fulfilling the responsibilities of this vital position.
