Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverview:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the Yellowstone Club’s Property Owner’s Association as an Assistant Asset Manager. In this role, you will work closely with the Asset Manager and Community Manager to ensure the effective management of our company's portfolio of residential and commercial HOA assets. The ideal candidate will have an interest and/or relevant experience in the areas of property management, commercial/residential real estate and HOA/POA management.

Location: Yellowstone Club, Big Sky, Montana 59716

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Analysis:
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
    • Conduct regular financial analyses to ensure proper execution of budget responsibilities

  1. Portfolio Management:
    • Collaborate with the Asset Manager to develop and implement strategic plans for the portfolio and greater YC Property Owner’s Association goals.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all assets, including maintenance agreements, financial data, and property information.

  1. HOA Operations and Maintenance:
    • Coordinate with property management teams, Yellowstone Mountain Club and third parties to ensure proper maintenance and functionality of assets
    • Oversee property inspections and assessments to identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement
    • Address Owner concerns and facilitate communication between Owners and HOA Board of Directors or managers
    • All duties and responsibilities pertaining to HOA and POA management will be part of this position.

  1. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Regular reporting and evaluation of the asset portfolio
    • Maintain accurate and organized documentation related to asset management activities
    • Support Asset and Community managers in maintaining strong records for future forecasting, budgeting and yearly maintenance
  2. Risk Management:
    • Identify and assess potential risks associated with the portfolio and propose risk mitigation strategies
    • Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, business, or a related field is preferred.
    • Any college or university experience is sufficient.
  • Previous experience in asset management, real estate, or finance is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of matching details to our office’s “big picture”
  • Familiarity with HOAs, property valuation, and basic financial concepts

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of asset management software and databases.
  • Strong writing capability and client-communication skills.
