Job DescriptionJob Description

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the organization's Human Resource functions. The Manager will also need to collaborate and partner with most areas of the business organization and provide guidance, support, and education to internal business leads.

The organization consists of multiple health plans and other entities in two states that provide administrative services for its employees and managers.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Lead all day-to-day human resource operations for the organization.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Some combination of PHR, HRCI and/or SHRM active certification(s) preferred.
  • Valid state driver's license

Education and Training:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 10+ years in the Human Resources field with varying responsibility.

Knowledge and Experience:

Experience with as many of the following as possible:

  • Experience at a company that significantly grew its employee headcount during the tenure in HR.
  • Experience supporting and building a team.
  • Experience within all functional roles and responsibilities of an HR Department.
  • Experience with various state and federal employment laws.
  • Must be able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Must be extremely organized and detail oriented, with high adaptability to a fast-paced possibly evolving environment.
  • Must be able to balance the appropriate amount of risk and help business partners grow the organization.
  • Must unequivocally be a team player and understand it is about the organization succeeding, not individual success.
  • Must be a consummate problem solver.
  • Must understand and embrace that people can be challenging.
  • Must have proven employee and labor relations experience working within an environment of both bargaining and non bargaining unit employees

Salary: Starting at $90,000 - negotiable depending on experience
