Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for all HR functions for the organization. This role will work closely with leadership to create policies and protocol as the company grows while maintaining compliance with local and federal labor laws. The Human Resources Manager will also be the first point of contact for benefits, payroll, and other personnel related issue.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of human resources for the organization including recruiting, benefits, compensation, training and development, employee relations, policy creation and compliance, etc.
- Develop and outline company policies with the leadership team, including employee handbook revisions when necessary
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Federal/California labor laws and update company policies to remain in compliance
- Handle the entire recruiting cycle: Sourcing/recruiting, interviewing, selection, onboarding/orientation, training, and offboarding
- Develop and carry out employee recognition events and other company wide events throughout the year
- Administer multiple biweekly payrolls for all employees
- Maintain company benefit records within third-party online portals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration and/or Human Resources, or equivalent experience required.
- 4+ years of experience working in Human Resources w/ 1+ years of management experience.
- Working knowledge of California state and federal labor laws.
- Strong HR Generalist background is essential to lead this Human Resources Department of one.
