Position Description
We are seeking experienced Electric Vehicle Charging Station Civil Specialists to join our team. This role is critical in preparing and maintaining the physical infrastructure required for electric vehicle charging stations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in concrete and asphalt work, including demolition, foundation pouring, and construction of ramps, sidewalks, and other necessary structures. We are hiring entry, mid-level, and experienced candidates.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently demolish existing concrete and asphalt structures to prepare sites for new installations.
- Pour and finish concrete foundations for electrical equipment, charging stations, ramps, and sidewalks, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and local codes.
- Prepare sites for installation by leveling, grading, and compacting soil as needed to support new structures.
- Build and repair concrete ramps, sidewalks, and other infrastructure components required for EV charging stations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, using personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring safe working conditions for yourself and others.
- Work closely with project managers, electricians, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of civil work with electrical installations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including any issues encountered and corrective actions taken. Complete required reports and paperwork as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in civil construction preferred.
- Experience in concrete/asphalt work, especially for electrical installations.
- Proficient in construction tools and equipment; strong knowledge of safety practices.
- Ability to read construction plans, excellent problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, independent, or team worker with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and varying weather.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours or on-call as required by project demands.
- Frequent travel to job sites and overnight stays.
Salary range for position: $21/hr - $41/hr
