JOB TITLE: Light Industrial - Electronics Technician

LOCATION: Oldsmar, FL

PAY RATE: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour

Summary:

  • Set up test apparatus and conduct tests on electronic assemblies and units following established methods, procedures, standards, and sequences.

  • Lay out and assemble units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications.

  • Adjust and calibrate systems as required; correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed.

  • Use hand and small power tools, along with various measuring and testing devices, to perform job duties.

  • Determine the types of tests to be performed, approve and suggest modifications to testing equipment, and analyze test results to evaluate the performance of products and equipment.

  • Assist engineers in designing and developing test procedures for new products and recommend product improvements or manufacturing modifications.

  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control or other procedures.

  • Troubleshoot to the component level, using schematic diagrams to isolate failures in analog and digital circuitry.

  • Requires strong knowledge of solid-state devices and micro-circuitry.

  • Work in a dynamic production environment, producing at a high level to support customer schedules.

  • Proficient in using various measurement devices, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, frequency standards, signal generators, and RF power meters.

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience/combined education with additional specialized technical training equivalent to an Associate degree, and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks.

  • 1 year of direct experience.

  • Radio Frequency (RF): 1-2 years of experience (required).

  • Proficient in component-level troubleshooting of solid-state, digital, and RF circuits.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite and other data collection programs to accurately document maintenance actions.

  • Experience with flying probe/high power testing.

Desired Skills:

  • Extensive RF testing experience.

  • Familiarity with radar systems.
