LOCATION: Olsmar, FL

PAY RATE: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Summary:

  • Rework SMT components.

  • Perform modifications according to Engineering Change Orders.

  • Inspect assemblies to ensure they meet IPC-A-610 quality standards.

  • Inspect components to identify common defects, including issues with soldering, improper use of flux, and PCB cleaning.

  • Modify and repair products following applicable documentation and procedures.

  • Perform detailed work on component boards and use fine-pitch solder on components.

  • Utilize Bill of Materials (BOM), Engineering Change Orders, and process work orders to ensure each unit meets new/current specifications, maintaining 100% accuracy, functional operation, and quality.

  • Remove and replace PTH components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits, transistors, switches, fuses, connectors, transformers, inductors, LEDs) and SMT components (discrete components, gullwing, and J-Lead components).

  • Use standard work documentation, including diagrams, photos, and written/verbal instructions, along with personal judgment based on specialized knowledge to rework product units per procedures.

  • Ensure workmanship and quality of the product.

  • Handle multiple and varied assignments, recognizing and addressing deviations from accepted practices as needed.

  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance to ensure quality workflow.

  • Perform other duties as requested to ensure 100% quality, accuracy, and product verification.

Required Skills:

  • Communication: Must possess strong oral and written skills to communicate with supervisors and co-workers and to comprehend written and verbal instructions.

  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn Word, Excel, Access, and other software.

  • Assembly and Inspection: Perform necessary actions for assembly and inspection to ensure quality performance, with knowledge of IPC-A-610 quality standards.

  • Attention to detail is crucial in a high-volume, fast-paced, quality-oriented, and high-stress environment.

  • Initiative: Be self-motivated and work effectively as a team member in a continuous improvement environment.

  • Technical Ability: Experience in removing and replacing components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits, transistors, switches, fuses, connectors, transformers, inductors,

  • LEDs, discrete components, gullwing, and J-Lead components) is required.

  • Experience with SMT fine-pitch components (lead width < 50 mil) is essential.

  • Must be able to identify common component and soldering defects and use flux properly.
