Insurance Specialist

We are a large practice with over 25 practitioners that serve the skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and our homebound patients in the comfort of their home in 14 counties. Our medical practice is looking for an outstanding full-time insurance Specialist to join our growing team. The Insurance specialist plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient experience by verifying insurance, collecting co-payments and deductibles, managing Chronic Care Management (CCM) enrollment, confirming appointments, conducting patient satisfaction surveys, and documenting interactions. You will contribute to efficient RVU management within your assigned color team and work collaboratively with both the scheduling and CCM teams.
Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance coverage, co-pays, self-pays, and deductibles for upcoming appointments.
- Enroll eligible patients in Chronic Care Management (CCM) and document the process.
- Confirm appointments, collect co-pays/self-pays, and conduct patient satisfaction surveys.
- Reschedule appointments based on patient preferences and provider availability.
- Document interaction details, payment methods, and survey responses in Prognocis and CCIQ.
- Document time spent on CCM-related tasks in CCIQ.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor throughout all interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Follow established SOPs and procedures, including adhering to RVU management guidelines.
