Position Title and Summary

A Loader Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of loaders to move, load, and handle materials in various areas. The role requires precision, attention to safety protocols, and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate excavators to load metal and wood materials.
  • Handle and sort materials effectively to ensure proper loading and transport.
  • Maneuver excavators in tight spaces and varying terrains.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
  • Transport materials to designated areas as per instructions.
  • Conduct daily inspections of loaders and excavators to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs as necessary.
  • Report any mechanical issues or necessary repairs to the maintenance team.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Critical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Physical strength and agility to perform basic maintenance tasks, such as connecting and disconnecting machines.
