Position Overview:

We are in search of a dependable and diligent Warehouse Loader/Unloader to become a part of our team. The individual in this role will be tasked with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, ensuring careful handling of products, and maintaining precise inventory management. This position demands physical endurance, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to preserving the quality of our products throughout the transportation process.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Loading and Unloading:
    • Efficiently load products onto delivery vehicles, ensuring secure placement to avoid damage during transport.
    • Carefully unload incoming shipments, handling all products with care to maintain their quality and freshness.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Assist in the organization and storage of products within the warehouse, ensuring correct placement of items.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and report any discrepancies or damages.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Examine products for quality and freshness during the loading and unloading processes.
    • Ensure all items adhere to Sheba Foods' quality standards prior to dispatch.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain precise documentation of loaded and unloaded items.
    • Update inventory management systems with details of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Equipment Operation:
    • Safely and efficiently operate loading equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks).
    • Immediately report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Teamwork:
    • Collaborate closely with distribution and warehouse teams to ensure seamless operations.
    • Communicate effectively with drivers and team members regarding loading and unloading needs.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
    • Follow food safety and hygiene standards to guarantee product quality and safety.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or loading/unloading capacity is preferred.
  • Physical capability to lift and transport heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) and remain standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management systems is advantageous.
