Job Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport raw materials and finished products to clients and suppliers.
  • Skillfully maneuver trucks into appropriate loading or unloading positions.
  • Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Collect and confirm delivery and pickup instructions using packing lists and bill of ladings.
  • Complete driver time sheets for each route and submit to the Truck Scale Administrator daily.
  • Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules.
  • Adhere to all truck driving regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct inspections of vehicles for mechanical and safety issues, performing preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Operate forklifts safely when unloading materials.
  • Efficiently unload and reload equipment to ensure timely service to customers.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Technical training and certifications are highly recommended (e.g., Skid loader, Forklift).
  • Knowledge of metals is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Strong service orientation and time management skills.
  • Proficient in mathematics.
  • Must possess a Manual Transmission Endorsement.
  • Valid Class A Driver's License is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and twist for extended periods.
  • Must be able to climb steps and stand on small platforms.
  • Capable of climbing in and out of forklifts or skid loaders and lifting up to 40 pounds.
