Job Title: Recovery Administration Specialist

Reports to: Recovery Solutions Manager

Location: Fairbanks

Purpose:

To Support both the Manager and department staff in the administration of daily, weekly, or monthly reports, tasks, duties, & responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, process, and track paperwork and documentation, including but not limited to legal filings such as small claim judgements, permanent fund dividend (PFD), bankruptcy, and other legal filings.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Recovery Solutions Department
  • Receive and process all incoming and outgoing department mail.
  • Note all necessary matters in the collection’s software/member account.
  • Monthly reconciliation of department specific general ledger accounts (GLs)
  • Review and complete department reporting as it pertains to delinquency, charge-offs, and recoveries.
  • Attend small claims hearings electronically or in-person.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience
  • Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in this position. In depth dialogues, conversations, and explanation with both members and staff will be a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Both communication and collaboration can involve motivation, influence, education, and/or advisement with others on matters of significance.
  • Other Skills: Excellent communication skills, Clerical/Administrative background, Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner, Ability to multi-task and work independently. Effective database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills.
