Job Summary

The main objective of the Working Supervisor - Field Service is to proactively maintain equipment, perform repairs, oversee onsite installations, and test tasks while representing BradyPLUS in a professional and safe manner. This role involves coordinating and scheduling Service Center resources to fulfill orders efficiently, promoting BradyPLUS services to meet customer needs, and executing all service center administrative activities and customer services.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Daily Tasks:
    • Tie workflow to schedule
    • Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
    • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
    • Produce timely and detailed service reports
    • Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
    • Follow all company procedures and protocols
    • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
    • Interact with customers in a professional manner
    • Wear appropriate and approved clothing and safety equipment
    • Coordinate and prioritize needs and tasks as they change
    • Meet industry performance and quality standards
    • Cross-departmental engagement with internal support teams to promote customer service, good teamwork, and help meet company goals
    • Communicate with Sanitary Maintenance Consultants regarding pricing, concerns, orders, and requests
    • Schedule installations, repairs, and equipment pickups in tandem with the Lead Repair Tech
    • Keep the Service Center area neat and orderly
    • Handle all orders from customers and initiate corresponding processes
    • Assist customers with product knowledge of all equipment sold
    • Promptly and accurately follow procedures and fill out paperwork for all orders
    • Make sure orders have accurate pricing and costs
  • As Needed Tasks:
    • Document processes
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    • Back up other service centers
    • Research and resolve customer problems accurately and efficiently
    • Prepare estimates to be quoted to customers; communicate with the Lead Service Tech as needed
    • Administer Planned Maintenance Programs
    • Process warranties
    • Assign tasks to Service Center Customer Service as appropriate and ensure they are following the correct procedures

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years
  • Education: Minimum High School Diploma
  • Certifications: N/A
  • Licenses: Driver's License in good standing
  • Specific Skills:
    • Some knowledge of mechanical ability
    • Ability to read instructions and diagrams
    • Excellent communication and organization skills
    • Fluent in Microsoft Office, Profit21, and Salesforce software

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate machinery, stoop, bend, or kneel.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to reading of related work documents, such as bills of lading, orders, documents, etc.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 lbs may be required (some industrial machine assistance available).
  • Ability to manage fluctuating stress levels that come as a natural part of the running of business.
  • Steady moderate to high activity and movement throughout the day.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required as business demands dictate, but typically a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Able to travel 60% of the time.
