Job Overview

Position Purpose: The Service Technician Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the Service Department. This position is essential in upholding our mission by ensuring a clean and organized environment, which significantly enhances customer satisfaction.

  • Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance the efficiency of the service team’s daily operations.
  • Recognizes that our facility reflects our values and works diligently to maintain its appearance.
  • Continuously seeks to refine systems and processes that add value for our customers and team through organization and proactive measures.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the warehouse and storage areas to meet our high standards, ensuring protection against theft and damage.
  • Collaborate with service and parts departments to fulfill customer requests associated with sales units.
  • Efficiently schedule daily tasks to assist technicians by preparing units and parts in advance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the yard to ensure all units are secured to minimize theft risks.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown as required, including after-hours events.
  • Strive to maximize the efficiency and organization of the department.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse, setup areas, storage zones, and parking lots.
  • Support the service team with general cleanup and organization tasks.
  • Utilize company vehicles to transport units safely, ensuring proper securing for transport.
  • Regular attendance is necessary to facilitate communication and teamwork; this role cannot be performed remotely.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Time Management: Ability to understand and execute duties independently.
  • Attention to Detail: Knowledge of cleanliness standards for work environments and vehicles.
  • Clean Driving Record: Capability to operate a truck and trailer for customer deliveries, subject to insurance approval.
  • Motorcycle Endorsement: Willingness to obtain a Motorcycle Endorsement, with training provided.
  • Professional Appearance: Understanding that team members often represent the company to customers, necessitating professionalism in attire and hygiene.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular attendance during scheduled hours, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Capacity to work in high-pressure environments and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to engage with clients and colleagues throughout the workday via various communication methods.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs and pushing of over 100 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Occasional exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels.
  • Frequent interaction with colleagues.
  • Occasional work near mechanical components and hazardous materials.
  • Noise levels may vary from low to high.
