If so, we invite you to join our team at the Congressional Country Club as a Housekeeping Supervisor. We are looking for a high-energy, positive individual to supervise our housekeeping team and drive continuous development and improvement.

About the Role:

As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the work activities of the cleaning personnel, ensuring a clean, orderly, and attractive clubhouse and adjacent areas on campus (GPC, Tennis, Overnight Rooms, etc.). You will create an environment where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best work together, and advance. By modeling best practices, empowering your team, sharing knowledge, and coaching, you will lead a diverse team of well-trained housekeepers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the supervision and oversight of housekeeping functions, including evaluation and assessment of housekeeping personnel performance.
  • Utilize leadership skills and motivation techniques to maximize team member productivity and satisfaction.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations, quality control, continued training, coaching, and direction of the housekeeping team.
  • Provide regular skills training to staff to enhance service to members and guests.
  • Oversee service and teamwork, providing counseling to team members as needed.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient housekeeping operation, ensuring the clubhouse's detailed cleanliness.
  • Supervise and inspect guest rooms, common areas, and outside areas for cleanliness, exceeding clubhouse appearance expectations.
  • Use multi-point inspection systems and daily cleaning reports to ensure team efficiency and cleanliness quality.
  • Enforce safety rules and procedures, taking corrective action to improve safety.
  • Prepare and post weekly housekeeping schedules, including daily duties, special events, and special projects.
  • Approve and submit payroll, enforcing payroll policies.
  • Maintain familiarity with cleaning equipment and maintenance.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to member and guest requests and concerns.
  • Perform cleaning duties in the absence of housekeeping team members and participate in large cleaning projects consistently.
  • Assist with the maintenance and management of temporary and permanent signage.
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage special requests, guest room access, repairs, and cleaning contractor activities.
  • Maintain proper inventory of linen, amenities, chemicals, and cleaning equipment to meet or exceed budget goals.
  • Assist with disciplinary measures as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of related employment experience, with working knowledge of housekeeping.
  • Supervisory skills are required.
  • Effective communication skills with team members, management, and membership.
  • Excellent organizational and team management skills.
  • Ability to operate and train others in the use of floor maintenance and other housekeeping equipment.
  • Ability to operate a two-way radio, cleaning equipment, and general office equipment, including a computer.
  • Continuous movement and standing, with the ability to lift to 25 pounds and push or pull up to 35 pounds.
  • Knowledge of basic housekeeping safety standards.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite
  • Bilingual preferred.
