Job Purpose

Amiad USA is seeking an experienced and energetic individual with a proven track record of accountability and results for the position of Site lead & planner. He or she will oversee all daily business operations and is responsible for safety, quality, productivity, inventory control, maintenance, and continuous improvement, with the intent to maximize efficiencies and improve corporate profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities

Operations

  • Executes initiatives to meet corporate strategic objectives and operational excellence, both short and long term.
  • Works to reduce waste throughout production and inventory value streams.
  • Motivates, directs, and coaches a high performance team to meet established goals.
  • Tracks site KPI’s and reports performance to leadership team.
  • Operates within site budget.
  • Oversees and supports production requirements while minimizing inventory carrying costs.
  • Builds company image by collaborating with sales, suppliers, community representatives, and employees while maintaining and enforcing ethical business practices.
  • Maintains shop floor employee daily functions such as attendance and disciplinary actions while working closely with Human Resources.
  • Ensures compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.

Planning

  • Ensure all STO’s, PR’s, etc. are processed by the team on a daily basis.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with HQ to review and prioritize all product orders.
  • Participate in the company S&OP process to ensure operations and sales alignment.
  • Evaluate and adjust safety stock levels in SAP on a predetermined basis.
  • Lead semi-annual stock take activities with operations and finance teams.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on E&O inventories on a quarterly basis.
  • Provide exceptional communication and service to all Amiad stakeholders (Internal and External).
  • Meet with Quality and Production teams weekly to ensure 3130 & 3104 product is addressed as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Perform managerial responsibilities in accordance with Amiad policies and procedures as well as applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, train and discipline employees.
  • Plan, assign and direct work.
  • Approve time sheets while meeting deadline guidelines.
  • Work with employees to establish personal goals and priorities.
  • Conduct meetings with employees to provide feedback, assess progress, and resolve issues as needed.
  • Hold quarterly reviews with employees to update progress on annual goals and provide feedback.
  • Document and deliver annual performance appraisals.
  • Address performance problems through corrective action and dismissal while keeping an ongoing written record of performance problems.
  • Deal with conflict between colleagues and between employees and customers. If a dispute arises, counsel the parties involved and use the company's best practices to mediate an acceptable resolution.
  • Develop and document department policies and procedures as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with customers as well as at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in water filtration/waste water treatment is a plus.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in order to meet required deadlines.
  • Software applications - Competence with MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & SAP.
  • Consistently show patience and courtesy to customers with strong negotiation skills.
  • Effectively integrate into and work within a team environment.
  • Ability to operate multiple styles of fork truck.

Work Environment

  • Professional office environment and occasional field environment may occur.
  • Routinely required to use standard office equipment.
  • Must adhere to company safety policies and wear the required personal protective equipment as needed.

Physical Demands

  • Required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to operate office equipment, talk, and hear.
  • May occasionally lift or move office products and supplies up to 50 pounds.

Travel

  • Travel will be required to other Amiad USA and Global sites as needed.
