KLEO empowers individuals and families to build a brighter future through various programs and initiatives, from youth development programs to health fairs, workforce development, and food distribution. K.L.E.O. Community Family Life Center believes in providing compassionate and client-centered services that are culturally competent and linguistically appropriate to all migrant residents.

 

Job Summary

 

The Director of Programming is responsible for the overall leadership, development, implementation, and evaluation of KLEO’s community-based programs and initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams, developing innovative programs, and forging strong community partnerships. The ideal candidate will be passionate about KLEO’s mission and deeply understand the needs of the community we serve.

 

Essential Job Functions

 

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for community programs aligned with KLEO’s mission and goals. Identify emerging community needs and trends to inform program expansion and development.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of community programs. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create innovative programs addressing community needs. Ensure programs are culturally sensitive, inclusive, and accessible to all community members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and key organizations. Foster collaboration and partnerships to enhance program effectiveness. Organize community events, workshops, and outreach activities to promote program awareness and engagement.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of program supervisors, counselors, and volunteers. Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure program success. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Develop and manage program budgets to maximize revenue and cash flow. Monitor expenditures, track program performance, and prepare financial reports. Identify funding opportunities to support program sustainability and growth.
  • Establish program evaluation frameworks and metrics to measure outcomes and impact. Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Utilize feedback from participants, stakeholders, and partners to enhance programs.
  • Oversee the development, duplication, and marketing of materials to promote social or public service programs.
  • Identify and research specific problems and areas of opportunities and concerns and make recommendations necessary to ensure program and operational efficiency
  • Respond to public inquiries and comments regarding program concerns and complaints

 

Essential Qualifications

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Psychology, Business Administration, Sociology, or Education.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience leading programs in an urban setting, with at least 4 years of management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to change.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings and obtain necessary clearances.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain vehicle insurance.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid LCPC/LCSW and Medicaid Training certification
  • Masters in Non-Profit Management, Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration, MBA or related master's degree.
