The SingleCut Quality Control Technician works directly with the QA Technician to collect, handle, and test beer samples. The QCT collaborates with production staff to ensure safe and top quality material production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting and inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions.
  • Reviewing specifications to compare to produced goods.
  • Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database.
  • Proposing improvements to the production process.
  • Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any equipment that does not meet requirements.
  • Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training.
  • Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
  • Collecting and compiling statistical quality data.
  • Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans.
  • Verifying all equipment is calibrated correctly.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, MS SharePoint, or related software.

Required Education and Experience

  • Associates degree in Technician or Science field (preferably biology/microbiology) plus 2 years related experience, OR;
  • Bachelor’s degree in science (biology/microbiology preferred).
  • Experience in Microbiology testing/sampling a huge plus

Physical Conditions, Requirements, and Nature of Work Contacts

  • Involves frequent walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Possibility of work in hot/cold and wet environments.
  • Possibility of work in crowded, loud, group environments
  • Valid Driver’s License and Access to Reliable Transportation.
