Job Summary

As a Primary Care Assistant II/Front Desk Assistant you will play a vital part in our clinics by providing essential support through a combination of clinical and administrative duties. You will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care, managing appointments, coordinating administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth operations within the medical practice.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and assisting with registration, ensuring utmost satisfaction.
  • Efficiently managing appointments through computerized scheduling, you will minimize patient wait times, optimizing efficiency.
  • To maintain accuracy and confidentiality, you will perform administrative tasks in compliance with HIPAA guidelines, ensuring privacy and security.
  • Proficiently utilizing software and EHR systems, you will troubleshoot technical issues and provide assistance to patients with digital tools, enhancing their experience.
  • With clear and effective communication, you will interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff, while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • By fostering a positive team dynamic and collaborating with healthcare professionals and front desk assistants, you will contribute to exceptional patient care.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or Associate degree holder.
  • Preferred but not required: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Phlebotomy, and EKG (Electrocardiogram) and proficiency in HIPAA regulations
  • Preferably with experience in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and at least 2 years of customer service-oriented experience in healthcare, homecare, hospitality, or retail industries, showcasing strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills: Capable of effectively and respectfully interacting with patients, ensuring clear and empathetic communication while efficiently managing multiple tasks, especially during busy periods. Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required for diverse patient care.
  • Team player with an empathetic approach: Willing to perform various tasks to support the team and contribute to a collaborative work environment, demonstrating courtesy and generosity in all situations to ensure patients feel cared for and valued.
