Location: Remote (USA ONLY)
ROLE Blueprint Creative Group (BP), as strategic planners, address our client’s business objectives using whatever means necessary whether that be business planning and transformation, brand positioning, business development, innovation, training and development, or digital modernization.
Client retains us to create business transformation beyond communications planning by discovering which business and marketing KPIs we can improve or impact. To achieve this, our Company is seeking to fill this position.
About the Opportunity:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Meeting Planner to serve as Director of Meetings & Conferences for a government client.Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the lead project manager for the planning of conferences and expos, overseeing all aspects of planning, execution, and post-event activities.
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan, budget, and timeline for the event.
  • Manage a team of meeting professionals and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Negotiate and secure contracts with vendors for venue, catering, audio/visual services, technology, and other event logistics.
  • Manage speaker relations, including selection, invitations, travel arrangements, and presentations.
  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing and promotional campaigns for the event.
  • Develop and manage the registration process for attendees and exhibitors.
  • Oversee the design and management of the event website and mobile app.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and government contracting requirements.
  • Lead the onsite execution of the event, managing logistics, staff, and ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.
  • Collect and analyze event data, prepare comprehensive post-event reports, and develop recommendations for future improvements.
  • Conduct surveys and gather feedback from attendees and stakeholders to measure event success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices for event management and technology.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential highly preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in planning and executing large-scale conferences and trade shows.
  • Experience managing large conferences and expos with 1000+ attendees.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects within budget and on schedule.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team of event professionals.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience working with government agencies a plus.
  • Strong understanding of event technology and best practices.
