V-Tech Solutions, Inc. is looking for a Human Resources Generalist II to support our client The qualified candidate will be detailed oriented and passionate individuals who are ready to provide the best possible care and service to those in need in the D.C. area.

The Human Resource Generalist II aids with a breadth pf routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The Human Resources Generalist II will work to implement strategies that assist the organization as it relates to Human Capital.



Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Manages and oversees the workflow of the Human Resources Administrative Assistant
  • Trains all new or supporting staff that assists with human resources department tasks and strategies.
  • Provides support and guidance to staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, to include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Works with management to oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management and assists with the implementation of those policy and procedures across contracts and the corporate office.

  • Conducts medical enrollment administration with insurance brokers; including terminations and new hires
  • Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
  • Respond to human resources-related inquiries.
  • Assist with payroll processing.
  • Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
  • Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.
  • Works with managerial staff to process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversees the process for maintaining employee personnel records.
  • Conducts weekly census reporting for senior management
  • Conducts all compliance and demographic reporting, for insurance renewal, audits, etc.
  • Conduct exit interviews and recommends corrective action if necessary.
  • Submits workers compensation claims for necessary employees.
  • Manages and tracks medical, FMLA and extended leave for all employees.
  • Administration of the company’s HRIS system
  • Maintain relationships with sales representatives and points of contacts for the company’s recruiting tools.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Works with management staff to undertake tasks around performance management and employee performance reviews.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, related field or relevant HR certification required.
  • A minimum of three years of human resource experience.
