A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AUTOMOTIVE SALES / PRODUCT SPECIALIST

As an Automotive Sales / Product Specialist with our car dealership, you're responsible for selling or leasing a minimum of 8 units per month to help our business grow. You approach, greet, and offer assistance to each customer who enters our dealership showroom or sales lot. After asking the customer questions to understand their needs, you help them select a vehicle by fully explaining product performance, application, and benefits. You describe all optional equipment to customers and provide test drives to help them get a feel of the vehicle.

Once a deal is closed, you turn over properly completed paperwork to our finance and insurance manager. In addition, you establish personal income goals that are consistent with our dealership's standards of productivity and devise a strategy to achieve those goals. As requested by the sales manager, you attend product and sales training courses as well as stay updated on new products, features, and accessories. Your passion for the job shines through in every customer interaction you engage in, and it brings you great fulfillment to know you serve in such an important role with our company

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE SALES / PRODUCT SPECIALIST

  • Possess a genuine attitude, desire, worth ethic, and high level of competency
  • Ability to work retail hours, which could result in 10-12 hour days
  • Ability to be on your feet both indoors and out each day
  • Ability to attend all scheduled training sessions
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent customer service skills
