POSITION SUMMARY
The Southern States LLC Senior Production Clerk receives, stores, and issues material and supplies. Prepares production order packages. Transacts material issues and receipts and complies stock records in stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.

HOW YOU WILL ADD VALUE:
  • Print, sort and distribute production order packages to department supervisors and stock clerks.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
  • Keeps back-order file in established sequence and releases back orders for issue as stock becomes available.
  • Compiles and maintains inventory of material received, stocked, and issued.
  • Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
  • Examines incoming material, verifies part numbers, and checks discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
  • Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming material to verify receipt of items on requisition or production orders.
  • Transacts material issues and receipts within computerized inventory control system.
  • Marks identifying codes, figures, or letters on material or containers.
  • Stores material in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to use simple mathematical and geometric devices, such as, calculators, calipers, scales, measuring tapes, etc.
