Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Manager, Consumer Sales to contribute to our Consumer Marketing team in our New York office. This is not a remote position.

Working within an entrepreneurial team at Ingram, the Manager, Consumer Sales leads the sales strategy and execution for ICG’s new consumer marketing services business. The person in this role will lead the strategies and activities that achieve ICG’s revenue goals for the consumer marketing business, including coordinating with Ingram’s other publisher- and author-facing business units to identify target audiences for consumer marketing services.

As a team leader who also has client relationships, the Manager, Consumer Sales builds a pipeline, closes the sale, and, where appropriate, optimizes the sales process, while coaching and managing sales team members to do the same. This person manages financial reporting, and oversees all execution, formulating and adjusting standard operating procedure for consumer marketing services when needed.

As a leader within a new business area for the company, the person in this role will need to be agile, creative and analytical, working with the Consumer leadership team to identify and develop business opportunities for this internal start-up.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or directly related year for year experience
  • 5 years of sales experience with at least 1 years of experience leading/managing individuals or project teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Digital Advertising experience
  • Media Sales or Media Advertising background

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and manages strategy and sales of consumer marketing services to publishers, self-published authors, and other relevant targets, adjusting strategy to account for publisher size and Ingram relationship.
  • Recruits, trains, coaches and supervises sales team. Advises sales team on strategies and process to meet revenue targets.
  • Identifies and engages with publishers to develop new business opportunities, build a pipeline, and meet revenue expectations.
  • Leads sales enablement, working with marketing and editorial teams to create sales collateral, pitch decks and other materials to support the sales process.
  • Becomes the subject matter expert in the consumer audiences and advertising products available for sale by observing and collaborating with the editorial team. Manages all interaction with the editorial team on behalf of the sales team. 
  • Partners with Ingram’s other publisher- and author-facing lines of business on a coordinated sales strategy for marketing services including pipeline development, business reviews, and reporting
  • Provides management thorough reporting on consumer marketing services to include current results against projections, opportunities with current and prospective clients, challenges and suggested resolutions on a continuous basis.

Hiring Salary Range: . This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position and will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
