POSITION TITLE: Human Resource Generalist

REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position reports to the COO and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration of Talent Management and HR processes- including employment, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, and the administration of Human Resource policies and procedures.

Recruitment and Onboarding New Hires and new employees gained through acquisition:

  • Design and deliver engaging onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company and their role.
  • Introduce new hires to company culture, values, and policies.
  • Facilitate introductions to colleagues and teams.
  • Provide ongoing support and answer questions throughout the onboarding process.
  • Utilize recruitment internal and external platforms to onboard talent for all facets of the businesses.

Employee Relations & Training:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Develop and deliver training programs aligned with company needs and employee development goals.
  • Manage performance management processes, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Advise managers on employee relations matters and best practices.

Benefits & Administration:

  • While our benefits program is outsourced, you will be responsible for communicating benefits information to employees and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Assist with enrollment and claims processes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date on HR trends and best practices.
  • Proactively identify and implement HR initiatives to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Partner with other departments across the organization to achieve common goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a generalist or HR manager role.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices, including recruitment, employee relations, and onboarding.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • PHR Certification preferred.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions preferred.
