The IT Security Coordinator is responsible for conducting security-related training, monitoring logs and network activities, performing regular assessments, and responding promptly to security incidents. This role includes administering endpoint management and detection tools, performing security updates, and ensuring system integrity.

Requirements:

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Conduct security training sessions for staff to enhance overall security awareness.

· Monitor logs and network activities for potential security threats.

· Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.

· Respond swiftly to security incidents to mitigate risks.

· Administer endpoint management and detection tools to ensure robust security measures.

· Apply security updates and patches in a timely manner.

· Manage backup processes to ensure data integrity and availability.

· Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.

· Provide end-user support for general IT issues and troubleshooting.

· Assist the IT team in general IT system administration and networking related tasks.

· Other responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS / ABILITIES:

· Comprehensive knowledge of IT concepts, including networking and related technologies.

· Demonstrated experience in IT security, backup management, and disaster recovery.

· Understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements.

· Exceptional communication skills for delivering training and collaborating effectively with team members.

· Ability to respond promptly and effectively to security incidents and mitigate risks.

· Proficiency with security tools and technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related technical field

and/or relevant work experience and certifications such as:

  • CompTIA A+,
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Security+

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support or information security role.
