The Role:

The Procurement Coordinator will review purchasing requests and procure needed parts for our technicians.

What You'll Do

  • Review purchasing requests from managers for non-job-related materials. Work with potential suppliers to find the best options to meet the needs of the requestor
  • Work closely with Procurement Manager to ensure job supplies and materials are purchased from appropriate suppliers
  • Work closely with inventory team to ensure proper stocking levels of parts and supplies. Place restock orders as necessary.
  • Back up parts team with their responsibilities when necessary
  • Assist Procurement Manager with bid requests and pricing comparisons
  • Research new product offerings and present to Procurement Manager
  • Work with inventory team to track max and min inventory levels
  • Track the receipt of materials and organize packing slips
  • Answer questions from accounts payable on invoice discrepancies.
  • Assist Procurement Manager with special projects on an as needed basis
  • Build rapport with high volume vendors
  • Evaluate materials that are received damaged and coordinate with supplier on credits and returns

What You'll Need

  • Understand inventory control and supply chain principles
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others, oral and written
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders
  • Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs., stand for prolonged periods of time
