Position Overview:

Responsible for accurate and efficient payment application, reconciliation of payments received and remittance verification for factoring, asset-based lending and syndication clients, supply management, and office administrative tasks. Work closely with client analysts to provide excellent customer service.

Managed Business Risks:

  • Identify payment issues that could impact collateral position and immediately bring to the attention of credit manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile incoming payments for ABL, factoring, and syndication clients.
  • Resolve discrepancies and maintain account accuracy.
  • Work with multiple payment application software systems such as Profit Stars and Stucky.
  • Act as a liaison between various departments including Operations and Credit.
  • Maintain client files.
  • Report any adverse findings for either client or debtor directly to the credit manager and assist with corrective action measures.
  • Work with operations manager to suggest and implement operational and system efficiencies.
  • Perform administrative tasks including scanning documents and saving reports to the network.
  • Assist with supply management, including ordering office supplies and other items as needed.

Responsibility and Decision-Making Authority:

  • Perform all operational responsibilities for managed accounts in accordance with credit approvals and company credit policies.

Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills, especially phone etiquette.
  • Excellent numerical skill and the ability to handle complex calculations.
  • Computer efficiency including Word & Excel.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple simultaneous tasks.
  • Accurate data entry and attention to detail.

  • Team player and ability to work closely with fellow analysts.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience.
  • Experience in a professional office environment utilizing computer and phone skills.
  • Industry experience in lending or experience within an accounting department and/or Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable experience.

Licensing and Certification:

  • None.

Working Hours:

  • Hours may vary and will require some evening work; frequently requires working 40-45 hours/week depending on business needs.

Tools and Equipment Used:

  • Personal computer, copier, fax, phone, and other typical office equipment

Travel:

  • Occasional travel related to attendance at industry seminars.

Physical Demands:

  • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment.
  • Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.
  • Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person.
  • Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move from one office location to another.

The salary will be between $37,000.00 and $37,500.00 with an opportunity to earn (a discretionary annual bonus).

The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience and education.
